PSI Monitor Network Monitoring Services

Services Includes:

• 24x7 Network monitoring.
• If a problem is detected (warning or failure threshold is passed) within the Service Recipient's monitored network, Pro Systems agrees to notify the Service Recipient immediately electronically via email or voicemail. In addition, an employee of Pro Systems will contact the Service Recipient's Network Administrator with 8 business hours to be sure they are aware of the detection.
• Monthly status report of areas monitored.
• Availability and Performance Monitoring.
• Internet Connection Monitoring.
• Dedicated Web Site Management Console (only available with Network Hardware Probe).

Terminology:

KNE - Key Network Element: server, switch, router, firewall, etc.

Network Software Probe (NSP) - Monitoring software is installed on one of the Service Recipient's computer systems. Probe is capable of monitoring up to 5 KNEs. The Service Recipient's dedicated web-based monitoring management console is not available with a Software Probe installation.

Network Hardware Probe (NHP) - Composed of a desktop PC computer system dedicated to monitoring and the advanced probe software. This probe is capable of monitoring up to 254 KNEs. In addition, it includes the ability to monitor SNMP traffic. The Service Recipient may also have their own web-based management console to review the elements being monitored.

Workstation Monitoring - A software agent is install on each workstation that the Service Recipient would like monitored. The monthly fee includes setup. If the network is monitored through a Network Software Probe (NSP) then the monitoring of the chosen workstations will only include device level (local services) monitoring (CPU / disk / memory utilization, process / log monitoring, etc.) If the network is monitored through a Network Hardware Probe (NHP) then the monitoring of the chosen workstations will include device level monitoring and connectivity (network services) monitoring.
